Sample Corporate Poker Night Itinerary

I have completed this quick guide to help you understand how a typical corporate poker night works. Corporate poker nights are becoming an increasingly popular way of entertaining clients. This sample, is an actual itinerary of a corporate poker night that took place in New York in January 2009.

 

  • Corporate Poker Event - Waldorf Hotel Jan 2009
  • Poker tournament registration - 5.45pm
  • Beginner poker players - Please go straight to the poker tables where dealers will be holding a quick practice session and poker lesson.
  • Poker tournament start time - 6.30pm (four tables of ten players per table).
  • Each player will start with 1,200 chips in denominations of 25’s and 100’s, with the blinds starting off at 25/50.
  • Blinds to raise every 20 minutes for the first hour, then every fifteen minutes thereafter.
  • Unlimited re-buys for the first hour and a half.
  • Break for refreshments at 8pm for approx 20 minutes.
  • After the break there will be no more buy-ins and the corporate poker event becomes a knock out competition.
  • The approximate finish time of the corporate poker event will be 10.30pm.
  • Prize giving ceremony of corporate poker prizes.
  • Eliminated players from the main event will be given the option of playing on separate cash tables.
