Profile Tips to Increase the Amount of Enquiries you get from Dial a Dealer

We are beginning to attract some qualified customers to Dial a Dealer and there has been some good enquiries made to dealers over the last few weeks. However, we can only see the email enquires that go through and it is difficult, if not impossible to track when a customer actually calls a dealer's contact telephone number. Looking at the emails that customers have sent to dealers, we have enough information to make  some assumptions and to be able to offer the following tips:

1) Get your profile picture updated to reflect that you are professional croupier. This is the reason we think that this dealer has received three separate email enquiries over the last 10 days. Alan’s profile picture, garners trust with visitors that have come to Dial a Dealer because they want to hire a croupier. Alan looks like a croupier, and that is why his profile gets clicked upon a lot. We strongly advise getting a picture of yourself in your best croupier attire. Note: As regards corporate profiles, such as Viva Vegas, we advise leaving corporate logos as your profile picture until we have more information from testing and user analysis. As an add on, not having a profile picture is really a cardinal sin, and if you need help uploading the picture, feel free to drop us an email and we will be happy to sort things out.

2) Put all of your contact details on your profile. We have recently made a change that allows you to put all contact details on the top of your profile. This includes your telephone number and a website (if you have one). Our goal is to help customers find and contact dealers as quickly as possible. So if you have not put in all contact details, please do so now, in particular your mobile phone number. We have seen multiple occurrences of users/customers looking for dealers at short notice, and if you do not have your phone number on your profile, you are unlikely to get the job.

3) Get customers to leave feedback on you profile after every job that you deal. Get customers to leave a positive review, and you will show up higher in our search rankings. This will become more and more important as more dealers list on the site. Be careful about manipulating the system as well. If a dealer gets 20 positive reviews in 2 days, we will smell a rat, and the offending dealer will be either removed from the site, or relegated to the bottom of the rankings. As the site develops we will be placing more importance on the review system, so it will be a prudent move to get into the habit of getting customers to leave a review for you after each gig. Numerous positive reviews will mean a lot more work in the long term.

4) Locations that you list under - We are currently revamping the dealer search tool (which has some shortcomings), but in the meantime, please ensure that you fill in the 5 locations that you are allowed to list under. The more locations you have entered, the more likelihood that customers will find your profile.

5) Make sure you use unique content on your profile. This is vital if you want to be your profile to be found in the search engines. Google penalises pages with duplicate content taken from elsewhere on the internet. So please, when you fill in your profile, do not copy text word for word from your website or from other dealer’s profiles. This is important for the long term search engine friendliness of your profile. If you have pasted content into your profile, we strongly advise filling it in again.

The above 5 points should keep you busy for a while. Try to get the changes implemented as soon as possible and you should hopefully notice an up tick in enquiries. We are always here to help, so drop us an email if you have any questions on the above.
