Everybody has their own reasons for playing Fun Casino games or organising a Fun Casino event. For some, it's the glitz and glamour - the sheer atmosphere and buzz that you will find nowhere else than on a casino floor. For others, it's the elusive hope of striking it lucky, the lure of that huge cash win that dumps a life changing amount of cash into your lap, forever changing the path of your future.

Me? I play casino games for fun. No rocket science here, I play for the sheer enjoyment I get out of it. To me, the challenge and excitement I experience from a couple of rounds of fun casino games is the whole point; it is the end in and of itself.

I'll give you an example of what I mean. Once a month, I and a few of my friends meet up at our buddy Malcolm's place for a private Fun Casino evening of cards. Malcolm hosts the home casino evening because frankly, he has the biggest gambling den, and there are nine of us that observe this regular calendar fixture.

We all have quite understanding partners who grant us this time off every month, which is just as well because it can roll on well into the night - and once or twice we've actually only staggered out of there as the morning sun rises For this reason, we usually share the cost of hiring in a professional card dealer from a Fun Casino hire company in London to run the games for us - we find it detracts from the game to keep passing the deck and the dealer button on to the next guy. Also Malcolm is useless at shuffling and keeps splitting the edges of cards as he crams them together. I can't work out if he is completely hopeless or if it is part of some evil scheme of his to mark the cards - I wouldn't put it past him.

The Fun Casino night usually starts off with something light like a couple of rounds of blackjack, but typically we only play that until everyone has shown up. We do not have a blackjack table, but there is no need to hire a blackjack table as Malcolm has a professional poker table and that more than does the trick.

Sometimes at our home Fun Casino parties we dust off the mini roulette wheel and play a few hands of roulette. Mini wheels are cheap to buy online and this will save you the relatively high cost of hiring a roulette wheel. Roulette is a lot of fun and works well in all Fun Casino night events. There is very little to roulette strategy and it is a great fun casino game to play at the beginning of any casino night.

Then we move on to some Five Card Draw, which is always hilarious when you play it with a group of close friends that you've known for years - bluffing becomes so tricky! After an hour or so, the game switches over to Pot Limit Omaha, which I'll admit I didn't really get at first, but I'm slowly starting to play decently at it.

And then finally we move on to the main event of our Fun Casino evening, a Texas Hold'em tournament that will run until there is only one man standing.

Once a year we will have our casino night extravaganza. This tends to be a more formal Fun Casino that our monthly home fun casino. It is normally held to celebrate one of our birthdays, and we all make an effort to dress up James Bond style, complete with cocktail dresses and tuxedos. We hire all of the casino equipment and dealers, from one of numerous casino party suppliers in our local area depending on where we are in the UK. We observe this monthly ritual of a Fun Casino night for several reasons. One, because over the years that we've been hosting casino nights, it's brought us closer as friends. We all come from quite diverse backgrounds; some of us met in college, others are guys we've picked up along the way.

Two, these friendships have formed the basis of some pretty solid business dealings between some of us outside of the game. When you play Fun Casino games against the same bunch of guys regularly, you gain an understanding of them you wouldn't be able to pick up anywhere else.

And three, because it's fun. And really, who needs a more compelling reason for a Fun Casino night than that?
